Versatile Card Magic is one of
the great card books. It features a very well thought out method for
the Convincing Control, one of card magic’s most ingenious techniques,
and looks at variations and applications in a degree that is truly rare
in the field. In addition to learning the elegant technique and the
numerous variations, you will also encounter one of the best sources
for card magic effects on the planet. Mr. Simon utilizes the Versatile
Spread Control, or a variant, to accomplish nearly every major plot
line in the catalogue as well as numerous not so major ones. If you
only learned about the different effects possible by reading this book
it would represent a true value. The excellent handlings and tools Mr.
Simon details, in addition to the variety of effects, make this a
highly valuable resource.

We never dreamed that the book we published way back in 1981, written by an unknown author, would become one of the most sought after books in card magic with copies selling for over $200. Versatile Card Magic has become a bonafied cult classic. Those lucky enough to own a copy of the limited first edition know that Frank's methods are diabolical and the effects created by them are without equal. Here, at long last, is the much anticipated expanded edition of Frank's book but, like Earl Nelson's Variations Revisited, this is by no means a reprint. The text as been corrected and expanded, there are 283 brand new, crystal-clear photographs and the new size allows it to lay flat on the table for ease of study. The only thing that has stayed the same is the great magic and those famous Jerry's Nugget cards that appear in the photos.
